In-class blog for September 12
The Ingram library search is very similar to my high school search. I am pretty sure that my school, Jackson State and West Georgia all use the same book search engine. Jacksonville State had the same way to find books as West Georgia but the library was much larger. Coming to this class was the first time I had ever came inside the West Georgia library. The group project was also the first time I had looked up a book or used the book search. But because of it being the same book search that i have already used it was easy to find my book. The most difficult part about finding a book is trying to match the number on the call number with the numbers on the book shelves. When I try to match the numbers I feel like I am just walking around in circles.

I agree !Finding the call number is one of the hardest things when trying to find a book in Ingram library. I still get lost when trying to fin books because everything just seems so squished together. But I usually go to the front desk it helps out alot an saves time!
ReplyDeleteI agree the call numbers can be difficult because how it’s organized. Also when someone misplaces a book that just completely messes my search up. I really never use the catalog either this class was the first time i even looked up a book. Maybe they will change their system in the future.
